Halloween Day

It's finally here! We had so many places to be! I took off a half a day. We had to go by Gran’s to show off costumes. We had Trunk-or-Treat at Kaleaha’s school from 5-7. Trunk-or-Treat at Krennan’s school from 6-8. The kids also wanted to Trick or Treat around the neighborhood. There are just not enough hours to be everywhere! Thank goodness the church did theirs on Saturday! We went to Bonneville first because we were taking Ellie Nave with us to that one.

When we got to the ALC Trunk or Treat, we found a trunk that was decorated as a Shark Attack. Krennan fit in very well! Wish we had thought of doing that with our trunk! We also found out that Kaleaha won the 2nd grade prize for her pumpkin. After the Trunk-or-Treat’s we came home and I stayed home and handed out candy and Ron did the neighborhood run with Kaleaha and Krennan. They were so wired when they got home!

Pumpkin Painting

Sunday is our stay at home and relax day. At least for Kaleaha and Krennan and me! Ron's usually working harder than usual! Today, Kaleaha wanted to get her pumpkin ready for the Pumpkin Decorating Contest at school. She didn't place last year and was bound and determined to be a winner this year. We started small with a Pinterest project. Of course, because Sissy was painting a pumpkin, Krennan wanted to do one too. Let the painting begin...

Bonneville Spirit Week

Kaleaha loves things like Spirit Week at her school. She's always game to jump up and get involved. I love that trait. I hope she carries that with her through out the rest of her life. Monday was Cowboy/Cowgirl Day... Tuesday was Mismatch Day... Wednesday was Crazy Hat Day... Thursday, I missed! Friday was School Spirit Day...

The Flame Halloween Fun Meet

October 27th Ava’s Army decided to go to the meet as Soldiers. We had to provide Soldier type apparel, which we had NONE of. Ron and I hit the Army Surplus store and got her some stuff. I made her a shirt with SMITH on it, but it had a little mishap before we left, so she ended up doing something totally different. All the girls looked super cute as they marched in! Matt and Mandy and Gran came to the meet. Joe dropped Eli off. She performed well and we were very proud of her. Also, grateful that family got to come and see her.

After the meet, the Church was hosting a Trunk or Treat. Mom had taken Krennan to that and we dropped Kaleaha off to her and Gran and they let them play games and trick or treat until it was over. Ron and I went on a date! We ate at Cheddars and got to have an actual child-free conversation! Love those times!

Krennan's First Eye Doctor's Visit

Krennan had his first ever visit to our eye doctor today. He loved getting to look in the machines. Thought he was such a big guy! It was also time for Kaleaha to have her annual check up. She thinks she's an expert.

ALC Halloween Costume Parade

When Ron and I were in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago, he ran across a super cool Shark costume for Krennan for Halloween. Today was his first official day to wear it and he was IN LOVE!

Grocery Helper

Kaleaha decided to write her own grocery list. Obviously we were short on a few of her favorites... Pumpkins, Whole Grain Wheat, Oatmeal, Protein Bars, Chocolate

Uncle Roy

October 24th – My Mom’s brother, my Uncle Roy Black, passed away today. It was unexpected and we are all very sad that he’s gone. It will be especially hard on Mom to lose him this year. Funeral will be on the 29th with burial at the National Cemetery.

I mustache you somepin

Krennan is SO silly. He found this mustache somewhere and insisted on wearing it around. We took funny pics with Kadence and Kourtland wearing mustaches last year and he wouldn't have anything to do with one. I guess because it wasn't his idea! Then Sis had to get in on the new look...

Student of the Month-September

So proud of Kaleaha. It's been a really great month for Kaleaha. When she came home from school today she informed us that she the September Student of the Month for her class!
